Connect a Custom Domain to Your Fan Links

Run Fan Links on the artist's own subdomain, such as fans.artistname.com: the DNS record to add, how to connect it in AndR and how to use it once it is Active.

Every Fan Link works on fans.andrmusic.co out of the box. Connecting a custom domain puts the links on the artist's own address instead, such as fans.artistname.com, so fans see a link they recognise. It is set up once per domain and then works for every link.

Step 1: Choose a subdomain

Pick a subdomain of a domain the artist already owns, such as fans.artistname.com or link.artistname.com. You need access to that domain's DNS settings, usually at the registrar or the website host.

Step 2: Add a CNAME record

In the DNS settings, create a CNAME record for your subdomain that points to fans.andrmusic.co.

Example: fans.artistname.com → fans.andrmusic.co

Step 3: Add the domain in AndR

Go to Audience, Fan Capture, click Create Fan Link and click Manage Domains under the Fan Link field. The Custom Domains window opens.

  • Connected Domains lists the domains already linked to this artist, each with its status.

  • Type your subdomain in the Subdomain field and click Add Domain.

AndR checks the DNS record and sets up the secure certificate. This usually takes a few minutes and can take a few hours depending on the DNS provider. Click Refresh to check again. When the status says Active, the domain is ready.

Step 4: Use it

Once a domain is Active, you can choose it for new Fan Links. For existing links, the ... menu on each row has a copy option for every connected domain, so the same link can be shared on any of them.

To open a Marquee page on the bare domain, choose Custom domain homepage in that same menu.

One artist, several domains

An artist can connect more than one domain. A podcast or side project can run on its own subdomain next to the main artist domain, each showing Active in the Connected Domains list.

Frequently asked questions

Do links on fans.andrmusic.co stop working?

No. They keep working, and both addresses track the same way.

The domain is not turning Active. What now?

Check that the CNAME points to fans.andrmusic.co exactly, with no typo and no extra record on the same subdomain. Give it a few hours, click Refresh, and contact AndR support through the chat if it still is not Active.
