Create Your First Fan Link

Set up a Direct Fan Link in AndR step by step: destination, link ending, pixels and consent, then copy the link or download its QR code.

A Direct Fan Link sends fans straight to one destination, such as a ticket page, a release or a store, and AndR logs every click on the way through. Setting one up takes about two minutes. Follow the screenshots below in your own workspace.

Step 1: Open Fan Capture

In the left menu, go to Audience and open the Fan Capture tab. The Fan Capture Links table lists every link the artist already has. Click Create Fan Link in the top right corner of the table.

Step 2: Keep Direct selected

The builder opens on the Setup tab. Under Fan Experience, Direct is selected by default: "Send fans to one destination." Leave it as it is.

Step 3: Add the destination and the link ending

Under Link Details, fill in two fields:

  • Destination URL: where fans should land. It has to start with https.

  • Fan Link: the ending that comes after the fixed part of the URL, for example paris-show, instagram-bio or newsletter-tickets.

Name the ending after the channel and the moment. You read every fan's source from this ending later, so spotify-a1 for one ad set tells you far more than link1. Lowercase words joined with hyphens work best.

If the artist has their own domain connected, choose it through Manage Domains. See Connect a Custom Domain to Your Fan Links.

Step 4: Check the Overview tab

Open the Overview tab. It is a checklist of the link: Experience, Fan Link, Advertising Pixels and Cookie Consent. A line marked orange or red still needs attention, and the button on the right (Edit, Review, Set Up) takes you straight to the fix.

Step 5: Set pixels and cookie consent

Open Tracking & Cookies. Pixels already connected for the artist show their masked ID with a tick. Any platform without one shows Set Up. Below that, pick a Cookie Consent mode. If the artist has fans in Europe, choose Full. See Which Pixel Goes on Which Fan Link and Choose a Cookie Consent Mode.

Step 6: Create the link

Click Create Link. The new link appears in the Fan Capture Links table with a Direct badge.

Step 7: Share it

Every row in the table gives you two ways to share:

  • Copy Link copies the URL to your clipboard.

  • The ... menu at the end of the row has Download QR code for posters, stage screens and the merch table, Duplicate to make the next link with the same setup, and a copy option for each custom domain the artist has connected.

Put the Fan Link everywhere the plain destination link used to go: the bio, stories, the newsletter, ads and printed material.

Change it later

Click Edit on any row to reopen the builder as "Edit" plus the link name. You can change the destination without changing the Fan Link itself, so QR codes you already printed and posts you already published keep working.

Frequently asked questions

Does the fan notice the Fan Link?

With cookie consent set to Off, the fan lands on the destination straight away. With Light or Full, they first see a short consent screen.

Should I make one link per channel?

Yes. One Fan Link per channel and per campaign is what lets you compare them. Duplicate makes this quick.

Can a Fan Link collect email addresses?

A Direct link recognizes visitors but does not ask for details. To collect an email or phone number, build a Form link instead.
