Choose a Cookie Consent Mode for Your Fan Links

What Off, Light and Full cookie consent do on a Fan Link, which one to pick for fans in Europe, and the cookie policy details Full asks for.

Every Fan Link has a cookie consent setting. It decides whether fans see a consent screen before the destination, and with it, which cookies and pixels can run. The right choice depends on where the artist's fans live. If a meaningful part of the audience is in Europe, use Full.

Where to find it

Create a Fan Link or click Edit on one, then open Tracking & Cookies. Cookie Consent sits below the pixels.

The three modes

  • Off: no cookie choice is shown. The fan goes straight to the destination. Use it only for links with no pixels and no fans in regions with consent rules.

  • Light: a simple accept or decline screen. Faster for the fan, but it does not meet the standard GDPR sets for consent in Europe.

  • Full: the fan chooses cookie categories before any optional cookie is set. This is the setting built for GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.

The link's Overview tab marks Cookie Consent Off in red as a reminder.

Setting up Full

Select Full. Under Cookie Policy Details, fill in:

  • Cookie Policy: the URL of the artist's cookie policy, usually on the artist website.

  • Policy Owner: the name shown in the consent screen, usually the artist or the company behind the artist.

Use the + to add another policy and owner, for example when a label and a management company both apply. No cookie policy yet? Click Ask Support and the AndR team helps you prepare the details. Why add a Cookie Policy? at the bottom explains more.

Cookie policy and form privacy policy

The cookie policy covers cookies and pixels. A Form link also asks for a Form Privacy Policy URL on its Form tab, which covers what happens to the details fans submit. A Form link for fans in Europe needs both.
